DON'T Run From the Roar!

I've heard this told as true...if it isn't, sure sounds like it could be. I've heard, when a pride of lions are trying to catch their prey...that they have a well contrived plan. What they do, of course working together, they situate the oldest, fiercest "sounding" lion at one side of a path where there is a Y in the road. This particular lion is actually no real threat to their victim. But, boy can it roar...loud and fierce.

Well, here comes their dinner bounding down the path... Maybe a tender, delicate little antelope. The fierce sounding lion begins to ferociously roar with all it's might... In an effort to swiftly get away from the threat, the antelope, full of fright, runs down the other path of the Y...which of course leads to a dead end...

When the victim gets to the end of the trail...guess who's waiting? You got it...the younger, stronger lions of the pride, who are very hungry and waiting for their dinner to arrive. Let this be a lesson to us---DON'T run from the roar!

The Word tells us that satan, the enemy of our soul, goes about as a roaring lion...ready to consume whomever he may... He roars threats of all sorts at us..."you'll starve...you'll never be healed...your marriage cannot be restored, it's too late... you're children will never love God...and on and on. What are his intentions? To get us to run...to run from God's promises that say the very opposite of the lies he is shouting into our ears with his ferocious sounding voice. God's Word tells us that after we have done all we can do...to STAND...don't run...stand!

Stand and see the salvation of the Lord.

So...next time the devil roars threats at you...put your head down...and slowly raise it up with this great big growling sound, and roar right back to him:

G-G-G-R-R-R-R-R-R-E-A-T-E-R IS HE THAT IS IN ME...

THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD! First John 4:4... Turn the problem over to Jesus and trust His promises....Then, stand, don't run, and just see what Jesus does.

Give yourselves humbly to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

For he (the enemy) will come like a flood tide driven by Jehovah’s breath. He (Jehovah) will come as a Redeemer to those who have turned away from sin.

“Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “The Scriptures say, Worship only the Lord God. Obey only him.“ Then Satan went away, and angels came and cared for Jesus.

I want to remind you that your strength must come from the Lord’s mighty power within you. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand safe against all strategies and tricks of Satan. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies.

Take no part in the worthless pleasures of evil and darkness, but instead, rebuke and expose them.

To keep from being outsmarted by Satan; for we know what he is trying to do.

Be careful: watch out for attacks from Satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry, roaring lion, looking for some victim to tear apart. Stand firm when he attacks. Trust the Lord; and remember that other Christians all around the world are going through these sufferings too.

Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? Will God? No! He is the one who has forgiven us and given us right standing with himself.
